Notes: it is strongly recommended that BADM 530 be taken before BADM 536 . Pre-requisites: successful completion of BADM 502 or approved equivalency and admission to the MBA program or permission of the School of Business Director of Graduate Programs. This course covers cases, computer simulations, spreadsheets (Excel) and other analytical methods applied to issues and problems in financial markets. The course discusses the various types of financial markets, the financial instruments traded in these markets and the institutions that serve them, interest rate determination and term structure and the role of central banks.
