Catalog description
Pre-requisites: ART 325 or ART 450 or ART 466 or permission of the instructor. Explore, develop, and practice personal style as it relates to ceramic materials and techniques, and learn how to manage and maintain a ceramics studio. Students continually evolve their personal aesthetic. This course encourages students to conduct material research related to their personal interests and to the creation of original works of art in ceramics. Students have the opportunity to develop, test, and produce their own glazes or other fired ceramic surfaces.
