Pre-requisites: ANTR 301 . This course explores the historical development of anthropological theory from its inception to today. Major theoretical paradigms, perspectives and models concerning culture, social structure, history and evolution are addressed. Contemporary topics such as include agency and structure, subjectivity and reflexivity, postmodernism, hegemony, globalization and transnationalism are also addressed.
