Catalog description

Pre-requisites: sophomore standing. Satisfies: a university graduation requirement–diversity. Students develop an understanding of some of the core issues and arguments that continue to shape the relationships between American Indian communities, peoples, spaces, academics, and the discipline of Anthropology. Students survey Native peoples of the Plateau, examine the varied relationships of these Native peoples and Anthropology, and analyze postcolonial Anthropology and the contributions of American Indian scholars in the discipline.
