Pre-requisites: ENGL 201 . Satisfies: a university graduation requirement–diversity. Explores the nature of poverty and structural inequality in communities throughout the world. The course traces the historical development of gaps in power and privilege among people and communities that results in poverty, economic oppression, and social, political, and economic inequality.
