Satisfies: a BACR for natural science. Examines the biological process of evolution as it applies to humans and their recent ancestors; it does not debate the existence of evolutionary processes. Students learn about major events in human evolution and key fossil evidence that reflects them, including the development of bipedalism, increase in size and complexity of the human brain, increasing use of cultural solutions to respond to biological pressures, and nature and extent of ongoing human microevolution.
