Catalog description
Pre-requisites: junior standing. Students evaluate the theoretical foundation in clinical treatment and management of suicidal risk through case management of suicidal persons. Students compare and assess “evidenced-based” and “best practices” approaches for the treatment and case management of the suicidal person within their scope of practice. Through role play exercises that include therapeutic interventions, initial treatment planning, coordination of services and referral, students demonstrate intervention skills.
