Notes: this MPAcc foundation course does not count toward the required MPAcc degree credits. Pre-requisites: admission to MPAcc Program and permission from the School of Professional Accounting Director of Graduate Programs. Designed to develop an understanding of the concepts, principles, and practices of cost accounting while assisting students in analyzing the conceptual and measurement issues related to common practices of job order cost accounting, activity-based costing, standard and direct costing, preparation of cost statements, and the analysis of cost information. Additional topics include cost terminology, cost behavior, cost-volume-profit analysis and decision making.
