Pre-requisites: English competency. Explores the dynamics that brought forth the greatest political revolution in American history: the election and re-election of our nation's first black president. As a truly interdisciplinary course, this course reviews the sociological, political, economic, historical, psychological, and racial dimensions of a grass roots movement that overturned all previous electoral traditions of inserting candidates into the highest office in the land.
