Catalog description

I, II. Recommended: FRE 102 or equivalent proficiency (e.g. with two or three years of successful high school French). French conversation, grammar, and communicative language skills, with increased emphasis on developing basic writing and reading skills. Taught in a context of French and francophone cultures. Laboratory work required. Students entering FRE 201 by referral or placement receive six hours credit for FRE 101 and 102 if they make an ¿A¿ or ¿B¿ in 201.
