I, II. This course examines human sexuality and identity development through the lens of psychology, sociology, and lifespan human development. The course explores how individual, social, and cultural factors shape sexual attitudes, behaviors, gender roles, and human relations. Students will become familiar with social and behavioral science methods and approaches to study topics such as sexual development across the lifespan, communication and intimacy, reproductive health, and the influence of media and social norms on sexuality and gender development. Emphasis will be on promotion and maintenance of positive mental, physical, emotional, and sexual development. Gen. Ed. E-5B [SB]
