<h3><span style="color: #993300;"><em>MUST BE IN THE LEGAL STUDIES & PARALEGAL TRAINING PROGRAM TO TAKE THIS COURSE</em></span></h3> This course presents the key steps in the litigation process, which include filing (defending) pleadings, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparations. Considerable focus is given to learning to identify and draft different legal documents, the role procedural rules play in litigation practices. Learners can expect to develop skills in scheduling, proofreading, case management/organization, handling confidential information, and the effective implementation of technology in litigation. Hands-on projects are used simulate important litigation practices and techniques.
