<h3><span style="color: #993300;"><em>MUST BE IN THE LEGAL STUDIES & PARALEGAL TRAINING PROGRAM TO TAKE THIS COURSE</em></span></h3> This is the foundation course for the program. Students will be introduced to the legal profession, the state and federal systems, legal research, writing, and analysis, and other aspects of the law. Practical problem exercises will be utilized to teach key topics like jurisdiction, how to discern between substantive and procedural law, and how the American legal system applies the law in a variety of legal special areas. The overall course theme is to address a broad range of legal studies topics.
