Catalog description

This course is designed for students to synthesize nursing concepts and principles from this and previous courses in the provision of care to complex and critically ill clients. Themes for the program include caring, clinical competency, and nursing identity. Students will use clinical reasoning to plan and provide nursing care to complex clients and their families in critical care, psychiatric, community and maternal-child settings. Instruction will be offered through multiple methods such as didactic, skills lab, clinical simulation, online, virtual, and in the clinical setting. A comprehensive live NCLEX review course is incorporated at the end of the semester utilizing a national expert as the speaker.
