Catalog description

The study of accurate, up-to-date, practical information and instruction in phlebotomy procedures and techniques, along with a comprehensive background in phlebotomy theory and principles. Skill includes drawing blood, obtaining blood cultures, using Lancet or a Microlance for a micro-draw or an infant heel stick, and measuring bleeding time. This course requires successful invasive intravenous draws including fifty (50) draws using vacutainer system and ten (10) capillary sticks.
