Catalog description

Introductory course for students to learn skills to recognize and properly treat illness and injury in the pre-hospital setting. Successful completion of the course leads to the opportunity to test for certification by the National Registry of EMT’s and the Arizona Department of Health Services. A total of 12 hours of clinical experience and 12 hours of vehicular experience will be scheduled in the Emergency Department and on the ambulance to provide direct, hands-on experience with a variety of patients.
