Catalog description

This course emphasizes the important of the assessment process in the decision making role of the teacher. The legal, ethical and procedural elements involved in the assessment process will be examined as well as the elements of effective classroom management emphasizing behavior reduction strategies that are consistent with positive behavioral support approach. This course is intended for non-special education majors and requires 15 hours of fieldwork.
