Police and Society

Catalog description

This course is a review of the problems confronting the police and the community, a study of minorities to gain an understanding of their particular problems, an in-depth look at ways of achieving trust, understanding, respect, and cooperation from the public that the police serve. This course is offered in cooperation with the Criminal Justice Administration Program. All pre-requisite courses must be completed with a grade of 'C' or higher. Course may not be used for credit toward a Sociology major.
