Catalog description

This is a descriptive course which introduces current theories on the origin and evolution of the universe. Particular emphasis is placed on how ideas from such diverse areas of study as extragalactic astronomy, relativity, and particle physics have combined to provide a reasonably coherent theory of the beginning of time and the cosmos. This course is restricted to students in the Honor's program.
