GN: General Statistics

Catalog description

This course deals with the collection and presentation of data, frequency distributions, measures of central tendency and dispersion, elementary probability, randomness, expectations, significance testing on large and small samples, correlation, regression, introduction to analysis of variance, and other common statistical methods. MATH 110 and MATH 111 are equivalent courses and a student may only receive credit for one course (maximum of 3 credits). Course may not be used for credit toward a Mathematics major.
