Catalog description

The distribution, population size, physiology, evolution, adaptation, and ecological relationships of marine mammals will be studied. Laboratory and fieldwork will include an off-campus field trip to facilities studying marine mammals (Baltimore Aquarium and Woods Hole). Since this course is also offered for graduate credit, a differentiation of requirements will be made. This course will be offered at the Marine Science Consortium at Wallops Island, Va., during a summer session.
