Catalog description
This course is an introduction to the physiology of marine organisms utilizing a comparative approach. A wide range of marine organisms will be used to demonstrate the variety of mechanisms and strategies that allow them to physiologically adapt to their specific environments. Since this course is also offered for graduate credit, a differentiation of requirements will be made. This course is periodically offered at the Marine Science Consortium field station in Wallops Island, Va., only during a summer session.
