Catalog description

The interactions between biological communities and the oceanic environment are studied with emphasis on the distributions of coastal plankton, fishes, and bethnic invertebrates. Since this course is also offered for graduate credit, a differentiation of requirements will be made. This course is periodically offered at the Marine Science Consortium field station in Wallops Island, Va., only during a summer session. BIOL 474 : Introduction to Oceanography is a recommended, but not required, pre-requisite.
