Catalog description

This course deals with independent research and study under the direction of a faculty member and is designed to deepen the student's interest in a particular area of an academic field. The directing faculty member will be available exclusively to the student for a minimum of five hours per credit. Faculty member and Department chair must approve enrollment in independent study and granting of credit must be in accordance with procedures and standards established by faculty. Student must be present a study prospectus prior to enrollment approval.
