Catalog description

This course covers 5 major areas of knowledge that are considered critical for employment in a high-performance manufacturing company. The topics covered include: Basic Computer Literacy, Safety and CPR, Print Reading, Precision Manufacturing, and an introduction to manufacturing improvement methods that covers Lean Manufacturing, Quick Changeover, 5S, Teamwork and Problem-solving. The intent of this course is to give the student the core knowledge needed to work in a high-performance manufacturing environment. 4 semester hours.
