Nursing of Adults/Children II

Catalog description
This course is designed for the student to apply previously learned knowledge and nursing skills while caring for adults and children across the life span with complex behavioral health and medical-surgical disease processes. Complex skills and concepts supported by scientific evidence are introduced as well as the integration of maternal-newborn nursing. The application of the nursing process is broadened to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the patient and family. Emphasis is placed on utilizing scientific evidence to make clinical judgement, reduction of risk potential, physiological adaptations, and health promotion and maintenance. Prerequisite: NUR*131 and NUR*132, minimum grade C Corequisite: NUR*202 Pre/Corequisite: BIO*205, minimum grade C; and US Government or US History course.
