Catalog description

This course is designed to initiate the transition of the LPN into the professional RN role. Emphasis is placed on utilization of the nursing process to plan delivery of quality patient centered care, therapeutic communication, clinical reasoning, and verification of basic nursing skills, medication calculation, intravenous therapy and asepsis. Successful completion of this course is a pre-requisite for the LPN to RN Bridge program. This course is only valid for 2 years. Prerequisite: MTH 110; Student must have an undisciplined Missouri Licensed Practical Nursing license or be eligible to sit for the N-CLEX PN examination. Prerequisite: Must place into MTH 110 or higher.
