Catalog description
This course is designed to provide the student with the opportunity to safely apply nursing skills and theoretical knowledge acquired in NUR 101. The nursing laboratory and clinical experiences in community healthcare facilities are utilized. Emphasis is placed on professional behavior, therapeutic communication, psychosocial and physical assessment, and patient safety. Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Nursing program. Prerequisite: ENG*101, PSY*101, CHM*105, COL*101, MTH*110; minimum grade C and BIO*111 or two years of high school Biology (lab included) with a B or higher Pre/Corequisite: BIO*206, minimum grade C Corequisite: NUR*101
