Catalog description

A course exploring the applications of mathematics to technical and industrial applications. Topics include applications of algebraic functions including linear and quadratic equations, geometric reasoning, (congruence, similarity, area, volume, etc.) trigonometry (angles, ratios of right angles, Law of Sines and Cosines), and statistics (measures of center and dispersion, probability, and graphs). Please note that this is intended as a terminal course; completion of this course would not qualify students for higher level mathematics. Prerequisite: Minimum grade or "C" in MTH 075 or MTH 094 or appropriate math placement.
