Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce students to patient-centered care and procedures involving concepts of infection control, patient screenings and assessments, general / physical / specialty examinations, procedures and minor surgeries, emergencies, pathophysiology, medication administration, patient education, and community resources. Students will achieve 100% of the designated course MAERB Core Competencies by demonstrating and implementing hands-on techniques. Students must maintain a grade of B or higher to successfully pass this course. Prerequisites: BIO 151, MDA 101 and MDA 112
