Catalog description
This course is designed to provide the student the opportunity to safely apply nursing skills and theoretical knowledge acquired in Foundations of Practical Nursing I Lecture. The nursing laboratory will be utilized for students to learn and perform skills to provide safe and competent nursing care. Emphasis is placed on professional behavior, therapeutic communication, cultural considerations, psychosocial and physical assessment, basic nursing skills and patient safety. Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Licensed Practical Nursing program. Prerequisite requirements: COL*101, BIO 151, PSY*101 or PSY 250; minimum grade C.
