Catalog description

to nursing, nursing roles, professionalism, and patient care concepts. Emphasis is on registered nurse scope of practice, theory, and practice skills. An introduction to the nursing process, pharmacology, and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs provides a decision-making framework to assist students in developing effective clinical judgment skills, including safe medication administration. Co-requisite: NUR 2120, ENG 1113, EPY 2533. Seven hours theory, three hours clinical/clinical simulation/lab. Ten semester credit hours.
