Catalog description

This course explores various areas of social justice, while developing academic writing skills. Philosophical approaches to social justice inquire into the nature and current state of justice and injustice in specific spheres of social concern. This course explores a core set of these spheres: class, race, immigration, healthcare, the global environment, and gender. At the center of our exploration will be an examination of ways the value of human dignity can inform our approaches to these topics.
