Catalog description

In this first semester of the Nursing Honors Program, students work closely with their Honors Faculty Mentor to develop their ideas for an Honors Project. This course is designed to help students search and evaluate the existing research literature to develop a project that is driven by a practice question relevant to nursing. Students will learn about locating and evaluating research evidence for its use in supporting their project methods. The protection of human participants in research via ethics board approval will be discussed. The work of this course will position the student to carry out the Honors Project in the fall semester of their senior year.
