The class will analyze the life of the Early Church as reflected in its organization, teachings, worship, and the main challenges it faced. After considering the Church of the New Testament, we will focus on the Church in the age of persecutions, followed by the era of the Ecumenical Councils when Christians were allowed to worship freely and even aligned themselves with the empire.
