Covering Military and Veterans

Catalog description

Special elective course: Covering Military and Veterans will prepare students for specialized beat reporting that examines military and veterans issues. Students will examine award-winning war/conflict reporting throughout the 20th century as well as develop an understanding of how the military functions through a variety of lectures, guest speakers, reporting activities, computer-assisted reporting with data bases, and field work. Prerequisite: JOUR200w.
