Catalog description

This course examines the organization, growth and distribution of communities and society across space. The course reviews both social science theories and policy approaches to the human organization of the landscape. Students apply these principles using Geographic Information System (GIS) methods. Students will use GIS software to map and analyze social, economic and political problems that impact communities, land use and the environment.
