Catalog description
This course offers an overview of the discipline of sociology. Sociology explores social life, social processes and social organization using insights from sociological theory and research. This course helps students cultivate a sociological imagination that allows them to critically examine and engage the social world. Sociology links individual experience with wider societal influences, develops intercultural awareness and promotes civic engagement to create a more just society. Required for all Sociology Majors and Minors.
