Catalog description

This course is designed to prepare students for clinical work with people with neurocognitive communication disorders across the rehabilitative spectrum of care. Course work will include information about right hemisphere disorder, dementia, and acquired brain injury. Emphasis will be placed on characteristics of neurocognitive disorders, assessment and differential diagnosis, as well as the development and implementation of restorative and compensatory interventions. This course will include information about the psychosocial changes in life activities of people who live with neurocognitive communication disorders and their families.
