Catalog description
Students will learn about the theories and stages of speech and language development in typically developing infants and children. Students will differentiate between communication, language, and speech, analyze the basic components of speech and language and complete speech and language samples with typically developing children. Students will gain an understanding of the cultural differences, linguistic variations and bilingualism as they relate to speech and language development in children. Students will learn to apply APA style of writing and develop professional writing skills across various writing assignments.
