Synchronized Supply Chain Planning

Supply chains are complex systems that consist of inter-related processes that must be synchronized to satisfy customer requirements. Supply chain planning processes focus on planning demand and supply activities across organizations to ensure sufficient supply to meet demand. This course covers demand planning activities such as forecasting, demand sensing, and demand shaping as well as supply planning activities such as Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), aggregate production planning, master scheduling, material requirements planning (MRP), and production activity control (PAC). The course also discusses inventory management strategies for aggregate families and individual items in both single- and multi-echelon environments. Analytics and enterprise technology applications will be incorporated into class discussions to increase students' familiarity with these tools.
