Catalog description

An advanced understanding of the mechanisms of speech production is integral to all aspects of articulatory, motor and phonological theories. In this course, students will explore complex theoretical issues in speech production drawn from targeted readings, and the collection, analysis, and interpretation of complex data from a range of sources. These sources will include acoustic samples of speech from normal and speech disordered monolingual and bilingual individuals.
