Catalog description

This course will provide students with fundamental knowledge and skills in the assessment and treatment of voice problems. The course is a continuation from Voice Disorders I and will provide students in speech-language pathology with information regarding (1) the personal and societal relevance of voice problems; (2) pathologies affecting voice; (3) basic approaches to evaluation of voice problems; (4) basic science foundations of voice therapy; and, (5) models of behavioral, pharmaceutical, and surgical treatment of voice problems. In addition, (6) evidence-based practice will be addressed throughout the course.
