Catalog description

Foundations in Examination and Treatment is a course designed to provide students with an understanding and clinical framework for musculoskeletal assessment and preparation for treatment. Topics addressed will include palpation skills for condition, mobility and alignment, goniometry, manual muscle testing, length and girth measurements, postural analysis, patient/client management, disablement, body mechanics, functional training, goal setting, wheelchair selection and adjustment and basic gait training. Clinical problem-solving related to musculoskeletal conditions will be addressed.
