Differential Diagnosis and Assessment in Physical Therapy/Laboratory

Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce physical therapy students to the process of differential diagnosis. Students will utilize information gained in prior courses, and develop a clinical reasoning process on how to medically screen, deem if care is appropriate, and if care is appropriate, how to differentially diagnose a patient?s condition. The emphasis of this course is placed on the professional decision-making process that leads to optimal patient management and/or referral to other practitioners.
