Catalog description

This course is designed to be an introduction to occupational therapy as a profession and practice. Content will include the history, philosophies, organizations, roles and functions, standards of practice, ethics and future directions. Basic professional information literacy and retrieval skills will be developed. In addition, fundamental practice skills will be obtained in readiness for future fieldwork and experiential learning.
