Catalog description

Neuromotor and sensory theories are intervention strategies in occupational therapy. Focus will be on the application of neuro-physiological principles, sensorimotor learning and performance, and specific intervention strategies as related to the young adult through geriatric client. The influence of cognitive, perceptual rehabilitation and motor learning theories and approaches on evaluation and treatment will also be discussed as related to their influence on recovery of the client. Students are required to participate in a 3 hour interprofessional seminar.
