Case Study Applications Speech-Language Pathology

Catalog description

This capstone course will require students to integrate their knowledge of assessment and treatment for specific clinical cases in speech-language pathology. Video-based and written materials for children and adults with a variety of communication disorders will be presented; students will complete written and video- based assignment to develop their hands-on skills with evaluation and therapy. Group and individual projects will be assigned weekly. The course will introduce complex, multi-disorder cases and encourage advanced decision-making and application of ethical principles in delivery of speech-language pathology services toward the end of the course.
