Catalog description
This course walks through the development cycle from site selection and market/feasibility analysis to entitlements, design, construction, delivery, and exit. Coverage includes product types (multifamily, office, industrial, retail, hospitality), adaptive reuse and affordable housing, sustainability/community impact, joint-venture structures, and public-private tools. The course also covers traditional project management concepts, but also highlights the unique aspects of construction projects. It presents concepts and techniques for coordinating, monitoring, and supervising construction projects, with an emphasis on cost, quality, safety, and schedule management.
