Catalog description

The course provides an introduction to fundamental statistical principles and techniques relevant to psychological research, along with helping students develop practical skills necessary to critically evaluate the statistics encountered in everyday life. Important topics such as descriptive statistics, data visualization, hypotheses testing, and linear regression will be covered. Students will be introduced to the programming language R, for statistical computing and data visualization. It is one of the most valued languages for data scientists and data analysts. Accordingly, students are expected to enter the course with a basic level of computer literacy and proficiency.
